QLogic’s FabricCache 10000 Series Host Bus Adapters utilize a flash-

based server-side cache, to optimize I/O between the server and storage.

FabricCache provides significant benefits to I/O-intensive applications such

as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC). The QLE10000 will accelerate

your RAC database infrastructure, providing greater utilization, better I/O

throughput and reliability. The combination of Oracle RAC and

FabricCache provides both clustered database cache and on-server storage

cache, resulting in a substantial increase in data access performance, while

providing a reduction in storage resource utilization.

What is Oracle Real Application Clusters?

Oracle Real Application Clusters supports the transparent deployment of a

single database across pools of servers, providing fault tolerance from

hardware failures or planned outages. Oracle RAC provides Oracle’s

highest level of capability in terms of availability, scalability, and low-cost

computing.

The QLogic 10000 Series FabricCache 8Gb Fibre Channel Adapter is a

ground-breaking enterprise-ready solution that combines QLogic's market-

leading Fibre Channel adapter, intelligent caching and I/O management

with connectivity to a server-based PCIe flash card to dramatically increase

application performance. The QLogic FabricCache Adapter caches SAN

data to accelerate server I/O access, and provides shared caching for

clustered, virtualized, and distributed workloads across the data center.
