D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg
This parameter controls how much logging the Distributed SA will do. It can be set
to a number between one and seven, where one indicates no logging and seven
includes informational and debugging messages. To change the D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg setting for
Distributed SA, find the line in qlogic_sa.conf that reads D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg=5 and change it to a
different value, between 1 and 7. The value of D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg changes the amount of logging
that the Distributed SA generates as follows:
D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg=1 or D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg=2: Alerts and Critical Errors
Only errors that will cause the Distributed SA to terminate will be
reported.
D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg=3: Errors
Errors will be reported, but nothing else. (Includes D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg=1 and D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg=2)
D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg=4: Warnings
Errors and warnings will be reported. (Includes D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg=3)
D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg=5: Normal
Some normal events will be reported along with errors and warnings.
(Includes D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg=4)
D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg=6: Informational Messages
In addition to the normal logging, Distributed SA will report detailed
information about its status and operation. Generally, this will produce
too much information for normal use. (Includes D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg=5)
D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg=7: Debugging
This should only be turned on at the request of QLogic Support. This
will generate so much information that system operation will be
impacted. (Includes D/jointfilesconvert/268663/bg=6)
Other Settings
The remaining configuration settings for the Distributed SA are generally only
useful in special circumstances and are not needed in normal operation. The
sample qlogic_sa.conf configuration file contains a brief description of each.
